You might ask, what took the Nightchantress so long to get here? She noticed this a couple of pages ago. Well, for one thing those pages only cover about a minute of time. But for another, she was still under attack by the police and AEGIS. Although they are no real threat to her, she couldn't just turn her back on them without taking some precautions (shields, stunning them, etc.). I didn't bother to show that because (a) it's irrelevant to the main thrust of the narrative and (b) the city street was killing me on render times. But I figured someone might be wondering.

I can almost hear the punch sound effect coming up! On a distracting note, how many stars are there on Liberty Lass's uniform? I counted 36...

Hm, that is a good question.

I counted my screenshots of the COH character back when I made up the costume but I don't recall. There are 16 surrounding the big one (17 total), but I don't remember the shoulders/back/cape #s. I'll have to look.

She is so going to regret laying a hand on the boy.

If this weren't Bronze Age, I would insist that Nightchantress leave this fight either dead or with missing parts. Pretty much the same I want for terrorists.

Can she get a live-altering wound? Pretty please?

I can't really comment without spoilers, except to say that this *is* a Bronze Age style comic...

I hear an old Arlo Guthrie song playing in the background!

You don't tug on LL's cape,
you don't spit into the wind,
you don't pull the mask off the ol'long ranger and you don't mess around with.... TJ
